These two old religious cities founded in the 11th and 12th centuries were once busy caravans trading centres. Nowadays you will be surprisingly bewildered by their serenity and quietness. You will wonder how they are still standing facing the unforgivable Saharan sands. You will share the life of the nomads in the oasis of Tenouchert for a night. You will truly understand the real meaning of the Saharan hospitality. All along the meharee you will walk through the magnificent and varied landscapes of the Erg Ouarane.
