Terjit Oasis

At the edge of the Adrar plateau, mineral water drips from the plateau walls into the Terjit Oasis where Mauritanians come to collect water and soak in the natural pools. Terjit is home to a dense canopy of date trees that provide much needed shade from the Saharan sun.
